CYCLE TO WORK SCHEMES
The Cycle to Work scheme is a government initiative that allows you to get a brand new bike and safety equipment for your commute to work – all tax-free!
Your employer may run their own scheme, or use a 3rd party scheme such as cyclescheme.co.uk, halfords cycle2work, bike2work, cycleplus or any other.
buyabike.co.uk & Charnock Richard Cycles will accept cycle to work vouchers from any scheme.
Cycle-to-Work schemes can sound complicated but they aren't really. You simply enjoy coming into our store if you wish, to test ride any of the 2000 bikes available from major brands such as, Specialized, Cube, Giant and more. When you have chosen the right bike for your needs, we will size you up, and you can leave a deposit of £20 to secure your chosen bike. Next you inform your employer of your required certificate value, and send it on to us once you receive it so we can book your bike in for assembly and provide you with a collection date.
Save Between 25-42% on a New Bike!
Just think of it like this: you’ve got the possibility of up to £1,000 in a cycle voucher to spend with us on any bicycle and accessories that you feel you might need. All taken from your salary before the taxes are calculated on your earnings, so how will you make the most of it?
Buyabike are members of various cycle-to-work schemes which allow you to purchase a bike tax free. Contact your employer to see what scheme(s) they use, then call into the store to have a browse and test ride, or if you know what bike you would like just call - 01257 794991 - or email us and we can arrange to quote and forward you the necessary information.
If you aren't sure of course why not visit us, after all we are the UK's largest cycle outlet based in Charnock Richard, Lancashire. We can offer specialist advice on the correct size and bike for your needs, along with the recommended accessories such as lights, helmets and locks to keep you and your bike safe.
We charge a set admin fee of 10% for all Cycle to Work orders.
The reason is that the fee needs to be reclaimed to cover the costs that the schemes charge us for referring you as a customer to us.
